Save Ohio's Libraries!

Yesterday, Governor Strickland proposed a $200 million dollar budget cut for public libraries. We are already operating on a severely cut budget. If this cut passes, all branch libraries will be shut down, all programs will end, the bookmobile will cease deliveries, public internet access will be diminished, and the heartache continues. Of course, I am upset, because I need a job, but equally as important: I love what I do, and I believe in what I do. That is why I need your help. I need for you to contact Governor Strickland and oppose these cuts.

Folks, I'm telling you: you need your library, and we need you. We keep kids off the streets, we give them lunch, help with homework, a safe, educational environment, we provide entertainment and education at no cost to our community. Please join us in stopping this extinction. Your voice needs to be heard. Each voice counts. Please, please, please pass this info on to everyone you know. I don't know how many it is going to take to change his mind, but the people of Southern Ohio are mighty, and it's time to let our lawmakers know that we HAVE voices, and important opinions, and we WILL be heard!

Contact Governor Strickland and let him know what your library means to you, and that you oppose his proposal of budget cuts for the Public Library.
